The Office of Teacher Education, Neag School of Education is seeking an Assistant Clinical Professor to direct the Office of School-University Partnerships within the Office of Teacher Education. The Director of School-University Partnerships works to develop and maintain productive partnerships between the Neag School of Education and schools/school districts in Connecticut for two purposes: to develop high-quality clinic sites for teacher candidates enrolled in the teacher education program, and to facilitate knowledge and skills exchanges between the university and the school that will have a direct impact on K-12 student achievement.

This is a nine-month position that does not lead to academic tenure, but may be renewed annually based upon annual performance review.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications: Doctorate in Education in Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education, Educational Administration, or related field; prior experience in teacher preparation; extensive experience working in and/or with K-12 schools; excellent oral and written communication, presentation, interpersonal skills. Experience and/or interest in urban education and social justice issues related to education.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in preparing pre-service teachers and/or new teachers in school settings, particularly urban school settings

Salary:  Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
