
Maryville University of Saint Louis is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to collaborate and teach in undergraduate and graduate programs with an emphasis on teaching literacy education (including coordinating the reading specialist program) and participate in partner school activities. The candidate must have teacher certification and classroom experience teaching reading and working with struggling readers. Dedication to excellence in teaching, scholarship, teamwork and service to the university and the simultaneous renewal of schools and teacher education is essential. P-12 school teaching experience in literacy, experience with diverse populations, and doctorate required; ABD will be considered. Experience with and knowledge of English language learners and/or action research is preferred.
